Caronport Minor Hockey Association is dedicated to providing a positive, structured, and development-focused environment where athletes of all skill levels are encouraged to grow both individually and as teammates.
The season runs from November through March. All teams participate in two practices per week and, on average, one game per week throughout the season.
U7 and U9 teams practice twice weekly, with games incorporated into scheduled practice times to support age-appropriate development.
Teams from U11 through U18 compete in the Moose Jaw Minor Hockey Association league, which offers a competitive standard of play while maintaining reasonable travel requirements.
The Caronport Skating Club offers fun, skill-building programs for skaters of all ages and abilities. We follow the CanSkate and StarSkate programs, which are part of Skate Canada’s structured system in Saskatchewan.
Our CanSkate program teaches fundamental skating skills in a fun, supportive environment, while StarSkate helps skaters develop advanced skills, jumps, spins, and performance techniques.
Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where skaters can improve, challenge themselves, and enjoy the ice—whether for recreation, skill development, or competitive skating.
The BESA Soccer program introduces children ages 6–12 to soccer, through Futsal guidelines and techniques and based on Brazilian and FIFA standards. The program focuses on building fundamental skills, coordination, and a strong technical foundation that applies to both indoor and outdoor play. Sessions are held primarily in the CES gym for indoor soccer, and we also offer spring and summer outdoor soccer to give kids a full-year, well-rounded experience in the sport.
